RESERVATION POLICIES 

Reservations can be made by phone or online. The total must be paid in full at the time of reservation. Stays over 30 days require management approval.

Campsites: Cancellations made up to 7 days before non-holiday arrivals or 14 days on holiday/ special weekends will be offered a refund, less a $30 processing fee. Cancellations made less than 7 days prior to arrival are not eligible for a refund but may be offered camp credit, less a $30 processing fee. Camp credit is valid until the end of the season; regardless of when the credit is issued. Camping is an outdoor experience, therefore we do not give refunds due to discomforts of nature or early departure.

Cabins: You must be at least 21 years old to reserve a cabin. Cabin cancellations made more than 3 weeks prior to the arrival date will be offered a full refund, less a $30 processing fee. For a reservation cancelled less than three weeks prior to the arrival date, the full amount of the reservation payment is forfeited to Royal Gorge RV Resort. Fees apply per cabin.

Camp Credit is only redeemable at this location and expires at the end of the calendar year that it was issued. Camp credit can only be applied toward your site, cabin rental, and add-ons. Store purchases are not included.

QUIET HOURS 

Quiet hours are from 10:00pm to 7:00am. No loud music, excessive noise, or disorderly conduct is permitted anytime. Curfew is 10:00pm, all children and teens must return to their sites. Keep in mind, if your site can be heard from another site, it is too loud.

AMENITIES AND FACILITIES 

Ball and game equipment for the basketball court, volleyball court, and horseshoes are available in the office to sign out.

Bathrooms are open seasonally and will be closed for cleaning from 11:00am-12:00pm daily.

Please remember that all amenities are on a seasonal and weather dependent schedule that may have limited hours during the spring and fall. We reserve the right to close any facility at our discretion without prior notice. Please refer to posted rules and regulations throughout the property for additional information on our amenities.

ACCOMMODATIONS/SITE RULES 

The speed limit throughout the resort is 5 mph.

All sites are subject to change prior to arrival. All RV types are permitted unless prevented by specific site constraints. All RV’s and vehicles must be in good working order at all times during your stay.  No vehicles with oil leaking are permitted on site and repairs and maintenance are not to be done at the Resort.

Tents are not permitted at RV sites.

We truck in all of our potable water, so washing of vehicles, RV’s, or any other vehicle is not permitted. There will be a $50 charge for vehicle washing. Please do not hang clothes or towels outside to dry.

All sewer hoses require 90 degree elbows and a tight fitting connection to prevent leaks, per Fremont County rules. Gray water may not be disposed of on the site other than in the sewer. Please do not flush baby wipes, sanitary napkins, etc. down the toilet.

Please respect our native plants. Do not attach anything to the trees/shrubs (including but not limited to hammocks, nails, clothes lines). Gathering firewood from around the grounds and picking/collecting flowers, trees, or plants is not permitted.

CABINS 

You must be at least 21 years old to reserve a cabin. Cabins can accommodate up to 4 guests total and one car. Our cabins are non smoking and cannot accommodate pets. An excessive cleaning fee will be assessed if policy is violated. There is a two night minimum stay requirement, and a 3 night minimum stay over holiday weekends. No tents or extra vehicles are permitted at cabins. 

CAMPFIRES

Campfires must be within the provided stone fire pits. Please ensure that your fire is completely extinguished before retiring for the night. Campfires are permitted from 7:00am until midnight. Never leave your fire unattended. Please do not burn or leave trash in the fire ring.

ATTENTION: We are in a high wildfire risk area. County and state fire bans occur at times, and will be posted in the office. Please check the office before starting any camp fires. There will be a charge of $100 for any illegal fires.

GOLF CARTS 

Golf carts are available to rent at the office. Personal electric or quiet gas golf carts are permitted with proof of insurance, to be driven only by licensed adults over 16. Please register your golf cart upon check in. Golf carts must drive on the roads only, no offroading please.

ATV’s, side by sides, dirt bikes or other motorized toys, or non- licensed/non- registered vehicles are not permitted to be driven in the Resort.

OCCUPANCY 

All sites have a maximum of 7 guests (including children), 2 pets, and one car. Please contact the office for exceptions at managements discretion to accommodate larger single families with more children or an extra vehicle. There will be a $5/night charge per extra person/child, pet, or vehicle. Extra vehicles will be required to park in the Visitor parking lot.

PETS 

There is a maximum of 2 pets per site. All pets must have proof of a current rabies vaccination. Exotic pets, aggressive/disruptive pets are not permitted in the resort. Dogs must be on a short leash and under the owners’ control at all times. Owners must clean up after their pet. There is a $25 charge for failure to clean up after your pet.

I agree to keep my dog out of the following areas including, but not limited to, the area near Cabins or Cottage rentals, the pool and pool deck, office, and playground.

POOL & SWIMMING 

The pool & spa hours are 10am to 8pm. The pool area is typically open from Memorial Day- Labor Day.

We reserve the right to close the pool area at any time, and during adverse weather conditions, the pool will close for no less than 30 minutes.

No lifeguard is on duty at the pool area and it is ‘swim at your own risk.’ All persons under the age of 16 must have a supervising companion, to be in the pools and within the pool and hot tub area. “Supervising companion” is understood to mean a person who is responsible for assuring that the child will comply with applicable rules and regulations.

Proper swim attire is required that is appropriate for a family environment. 

Pets are not allowed, except for working service animals. Service animals must be always with their handler and may not be in pools or in contact with the water.

Additional Terms for Pool Use

  • NEVER SWIM ALONE.
  • Don’t drink alcohol and swim.
  • Only use this facility during posted hours of operation.
  • IN AN EMERGENCY, NOTIFY THE FRONT DESK AND CONTACT HELP AS SOON AS POSSIBLE.

TRASH & RECYCLING 

Please dispose all trash in the dumpsters provided. All trash must be properly bagged, no loose trash permitted in the dumpsters. Do not leave trash bags or food outside overnight on your site as it will attract wildlife. Large items such as lawn chairs, grills, mattresses, appliances, or furniture cannot be disposed of in the resort.

SAFETY & BIKES 

Children under the age of 13 must be supervised at all times (including on your site, while using amenities or common areas, and within amenity buildings). Bike riding is a great way to get around the campground and we have acres of gravel roads to enjoy. For the safety of all our guests, bike riding is prohibited after dark.

VISITORS 

Guests may host visitors at their campsite. All visitors age 5 and up must register at the office for a $10 day pass.  Please remember to not exceed the site limit of 7 people per site, including children. Each visitor must park their vehicle in the parking lot, and must be in Guests company at all times. Visitors must leave by 10:00 pm quiet time and are not authorized to stay overnight or leave their cars parked at the Resort. Unauthorized vehicles will be towed.

SMOKING/ ALCOHOL/ ILLEGAL DRUG USE 

Royal Gorge RV Resort is a family friendly facility. All buildings and common areas including the pool and hot tub area, shall remain smoke free. Smoking is permitted only at your campsite and not throughout the park. We are in a high fire hazard zone, so please dispose of all waste properly inside of your camper, and do not dispose of waste in fire pits. Alcohol is permitted by legal drinking age adults only at your site. Alcohol must be consumed in a responsible manner. Public intoxication is not permitted; violators will be evicted. Illegal drugs are strictly prohibited.

THEFT & LOSS 

Campers are responsible for securing their own personal property, including, but not limited to, their campers and contents, vehicles, tents, or any other personal property. Royal Gorge RV Resort, its owners, agents and employees are not responsible or liable for theft and assume no liability for accidents or damage caused by Acts of God or other casualty or damage such as, but not limited to, theft or loss of any kind, dog bites, fallen trees, limbs or branches (alive or dead), fires, floods, windstorms, electric outages, explosions, lightning strikes, accidents or vandalism to your camping unit, vehicle or other personal property and/or the personal property of your visitors. Campers are responsible for having insurance policies on their rigs and equipment.

FIREARMS/FIREWORKS/DRONES 

Absolutely no firearms, weapons of any kind, fireworks, or drones are to be used on the Resort at any time.
