Your Questions, Answered

Have questions before you book? We would too. Here’s what you need to know:

Do you allow pets?

We would love to see your furry friends! We’re a pet-friendly RV park with a dog park, lots of dog-friendly walking trails, and allow up to two dogs per site as long as they’re friendly and non-aggressive.

Please make sure your pup is leashed at all times and that you always pick up after them.

What time is check-in and check-out?

Arrive at your spacious RV site anytime after 1 pm and check-out by 11 am. Please keep in mind that we use the time in between to check campsites and complete facility maintenance and cleaning so your stay is nothing short of incredible.

Need an early check-in or late check-out? We may be able to accommodate you! Give us a call as soon as you know your travel dates.

What should I do if I arrive after the office closes?

If you have a reservation, you’ll check our Late Check-In Box to find your packet with more information about staying with us.

If you arrive after the office is closed without a reservation, simply book online and proceed directly to your selected site. Please make sure to check-in at the office the following morning so we can answer any questions and give you more info on our amenities.

We kindly encourage our campers to arrive by 10 pm to avoid disrupting sleeping campers. Because our quiet time starts at 10 pm, we please ask you to set-up camp quietly and minimize bright lights.

What are your office hours?

We know how important it is to have friendly hosts on-site and ready to help. From April 15th to October 31st, our office is open Monday through Friday from 9 am to 6 pm and Saturday from 9 am to 5 pm.

Are weekday and weekend sites open?

They sure are! No matter if you’re arriving on a Monday afternoon, or you need a camp on a Saturday, we have an RV site ready for you to enjoy. All you have to do is book your dates online, pick your campsite, and show up ready to enjoy fun for the entire family.

Is the Wi-Fi actually free?

Yes! As a guest at Royal Gorge RV Resort & Cabins, you get free fiber optic internet access to stream your favorite show under the stars, check on emails, or stay connected with family and friends — all without worrying about extra fees or slow speeds.

Are there grocery stores or restaurants nearby?

We are less than 15 minutes from the heart of Cañon City, where you’ll find plenty of shops and places to eat!

For restocking your rig, you’ll find all the big chain grocery stores, but we recommend shopping local whenever you can. Visit Colon Orchards for fresh, locally grown fruits and veggies, or Di Nardo’s Cider Mill & Farm for homemade cider, jams, and other goodies to take home.

Guests love White Water Bar & Grill 3 minutes down the road to grab a bite and some beers. MUGS is another Cañon City favorite for brunch. If you’re looking for something new, Nirvana Culinary Paradise serves authentic north Indian food.
